Marina Bay Sands; Singapore's Most Iconic Resorts

, With its world-famous infinity pool and stunning views of downtown Singapore, the Marina Bay Sands is a one-of-a-kind resort not to be missed.

In 2010 the Singapore skyline was changed forever. With over 2500 guest rooms, Marina Bay Sands is one of the world's largest hotels, it consists of 3 towers and a large surfboard-shaped roof to connect them. The shape is instantly recognizable, but the function is equally impressive. The rooftop features not 1 but 3 notable restaurants, an impressive sky garden, and the world's longest swimming pool, a mere 200 meters above the ground. From ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ to ‘Singapore Social’, ‘Amazing Hotels’ and ‘Parts Unknown’ there is hardly a mention of Singapore that doesn’t feature a panning shot of this architectural wonder.

I was staying in the Premier room with a Harbor view, which at 44 square meters was incredibly spacious. The bathroom featured both a walk-in rain shower as well as a deep soaking tub, a rare commodity in many Singapore hotels.

Located on the 45th floor the room was light and airy with a constant breeze, it overlooked Marina Gardens'walk-in famed Super-trees. I actually chose this view for a little variety, knowing that the infinity pool and rooftop restaurants face towards the city.

The complimentary snacks and beverages in the pantry were a nice touch in contrast to most resorts’ overpriced minibars, of course, a variety of alcoholic beverages and snacks were also available for purchase.

World-class dining anyone?

There are over 21 restaurants within the MBS property, and with so many options there is bound to be something to suit just about any taste. Looking to check out the rooftop terrace? Make a reservation at one of 3 options: Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Lavo, or Ce La Vie.

Each of the three restaurants features both a dining room and bar option. If you are looking for something more casual or budget-friendly consider checking out ladies' the lunch features, or happy hour! Lavo is currently hosting a pizza lunch with beer for $28 and doing happy hour 1- for 1 2-hour daily 5-7. Ce La Vie hosts a, without cocktail ladies' night with $10 Proandsecos, 1- for 1 Aperol Spritzs W-F, 2- hour free flow M-F for $75, and a weekly Sunday BBQ overlooking the pool deck.

The cost of visiting MBS Sky Garden is $26, so you might as well just make a reservation and have a drink for a “free” ride up in lieu of paying the entry fee, there is also no view of the infinity pool from the Sky Garden. Each of the three restaurants is accessible from a different tower without ladies' different views of the pool, non guests are not allowed into the pool deck area- this is highly enforced with monitored gates and vigilant staff.
